Postpartum Doulas are becoming a more popular inclusion to a mother's overall care. More and more health professionals and mothers are realizing just how important the postpartum period is for both mom and baby in relation to lowering postpartum depression/anxiety and lower risks of SIDS for babies.

What is a postpartum doula?

A postpartum doula provides support and evidence-based information to parents with a new baby during the equally important fourth trimester. A postpartum doula assists with:

  • family adjustments

How I can help

As a trained postpartum doula I can assist with the care of your newborn. I have an interest in helping parents care for preemie babies, and assist with the transition at home. I am a certified ServSafe food handler and can help with simple meal prep, and light household chores. I am also CPR/First Aid certified. I'm trained to give moms breastfeeding support and education.
